Is It A Scam?

Learn about common scams and how to avoid them in a presentation by UNT Police from 1:30 to 2:30 on Thursday, Feb. 24, at Discovery Park Room K150. The specific types of scams change all the time but you can learn ways to identify them to help prevent yourself for falling for a scam. Spring 2022 Lab Specials

The Student Health and Wellness Center is offering lab specials to all UNT staff on the following dates: 1/24-1/28, 2/7-2/11, 3/7-3/11, 4/11-4/15, and 5/2-5/6. Must check-in by 4:30pm on available dates. No appointment is necessary but UNT I.D. is required. Results will be available the following business day and will be sent to the patient through our online portal. The patient is responsible for taking the results to the physician of their choice for any follow-up.

Lipid Profile: These are a group of tests that are used to determine the risk of coronary heart disease. The profile includes: Total Cholesterol, HDL-C (good cholesterol), LDL-C (bad cholesterol), and triglycerides. *8-12 hour fasting is required. Cost is $20.
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH): TSH screening determines whether your thyroid gland is functioning properly and if there is a need for further testing. *No fasting is required. Cost is $35.
Hemoglobin A1-C: The A1-C test result reflects your average blood sugar level for the past three months. *No fasting is required. Cost is $50.
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel & Complete Blood Count (CBC & CMP): The CMP evaluates many blood values, such as blood sugar, total cholesterol, and liver and kidney functions. *9-12 hour fasting is required. Cost is $35.

2022 Equity & Diversity Conference Registration

Registration is now open for the virtual 2022 Equity & Diversity Conference presented by Fidelity Investments on March 23, 2022. Current UNT World staff, faculty, and students can attend free for a full day of workshop sessions in both academic and corporate tracks, a keynote presentation by Dr. Annette Gordon-Reed, and the return of a Social Justice speaker. Zoom links will be sent prior to the conference through the email you use to register. The deadline to register is March 9th, but spots fill up fast. Divisions and units are welcome to sponsor and guarantee their registration at edc.unt.edu/internal-sponsors.
