Fall Fast Facts on Transportation and Parking Services for Staff Senate

Fall 2017 Parking Recommendations from Transportation Services

  • All permits should be purchased online – it saves time – lines get long at Highland Street Garage Parking Office and you can print out a temporary permit until your permanent permit arrives – usually mailed within two weeks.

  • Parking meters in the Fry Street area have been taken down. It’s two-hour free parking. Tickets will be given after two hours to anyone who continues to park in the area.

  • F/S parking lots – mostly same as last year but 125 regular and 17 ADA spaces were added to Lots 54 and 55, which are across Welch from the Art and RTVF buildings. Lots 33 and 42, which are on Maple just south of Highland Street Garage, are now Eagle lots – 122 total spaces.

Transportation

  • Bus route pick-up/drop-off locations have changed to begin moving heavy traffic away from the center of campus in line with UNT’s master plan to create a safer environment, and save time and fuel costs. Specifics on all routes can be found online: transportation.unt.edu/transit.

  • A bus tracker app should go live by the first day of school. Until it goes live, the bus tracker is on the Transportation website.
