How long have you worked at UNT?

I have been at UNT for 3 ½ years.

What is your department and what does your position entail?

I am the Admin for HPS Advising, I support the advisors and supervise the student workers who work at the front desk. I keep the office running smooth and help out with anything that is in my skill set.

What do you like about your position?

I really like the people that I work with. We truly are the “best dang advising office” on campus. Putting the student’s needs first and foremost is everyone’s priority and I have so much respect for my colleagues and my supervisor.

What is your favorite place to eat on or around campus?

I love eating at the Mean Greens cafeteria. I used to be a vegan but even as a meat eater now it is hands down the best cafeteria on campus in my opinion.

Tell us something about yourself!

My passion is helping people. I previously worked at a women’s shelter and loved that job but really needed a break from such emotionally taxing work. I have been finding any ways that I can to continue that purpose here at UNT and I have found some creative ways to do that. I am glad that I can still pursue that passion in my current position and in my voluntary positions like staff senate as well.
