How long have you worked at UNT?

I started at UNT in January 2013.

What department do your work in and what does your position entail?

I work in Administrative Services, but my position as Division Communications Strategist serves all departments within the Division of Finance and Administration. I do a lot of the creative work you see on our websites, social media and more. That includes videos, graphic design, writing stories, website design, editing and more.

What do you like about your position?

I love everything about my job! It's a chance to be creative every day. Plus, I get to know so many people in the division when I interview them for stories. I feel like I have a ton of friends on this campus!

What is your favorite place to eat on or around campus?

Honestly, I couldn't get by without Avesta. And, if I'm going to be really truthful, I can't pass up their desserts. Ask me about the time I ate the biggest macaroon I've ever seen!

If someone new came in and wanted to know something that no one else at UNT would know, what would you tell them?

One of my favorite little-known things about UNT is the Portal to Texas History, https://texashistory.unt.edu. In addition to historic documents and publications, it has so much of UNT's history that is searchable. Looking through yearbooks from more than 100 years ago gives you such an appreciation for how far UNT has come.

Tell us something about you.

I'm an alumna of UNT and the first two years I was here I was in the Talons spirit club. Also, through UNT I met my husband and my best friend so I feel like this university has been an integral part of my life.
