Contract Analyst, Research and Innovation

How long have you worked at UNT?

November will be 3 years at UNT for me.

What department do you work in and what does your position entail?

I work in Research Commercial Agreements within the Division of Research and Innovation. As a Contract Analyst, I get to do a lot of cool stuff! I draft, negotiate, and manage various types of research contracts for our faculty. When the need for a research contract comes in, I am the first point of contact because I manage and triage our ResearchContracts inbox. I also manage our Agreements database, where all things contracts related is stored.

What do you like about your position?

I enjoy meeting our faculty through their research. Every contract that comes in is different and I love learning about all the new ideas and different organizations that are out there. This definitely keeps it interesting for me, and I work with a fantastic team!

What is your favorite place to eat on or near campus?

I recently was invited to lunch at Avesta. Wow, the food is amazing!

Tell us something about you.

I love running marathons in other countries. I ran in Myanmar in 2018 and in Ireland in 2019. I was set to run in Berlin in 2020, but that has been deferred to 2022. It’s a fantastic way to see a country and a great excuse to travel!
