Two years (to the day actually!)

What is your department and what does your position entail?

Risk Management Services – Emergency Management & Safety Services.

I am UNT’s Emergency Management Coordinator. I coordinate campus emergency planning and preparedness initiatives.

What do you like about your position?

I enjoy working with partners from across campus. My position involves lots of cross-departmental collaboration; this component of my job has allowed me to meet so many people from different areas. I’m constantly learning something new about a function at the University!

What is your favorite place to eat on or around campus?

Chick-fil-a. Hands down. Now I’m thinking about lemonade and waffle fries.

Tell us something about yourself!

My husband, my two cats, and I live here in Denton and am a two-time alumni of UNT! In my free time, I write, research, and read about historic disasters or the World Wars (and I’m always looking for book recommendations, so send ‘em my way!).

My favorite TV shows include Chef’s Table and The Office.
