Headshot of Elizabeth BerryElizabeth Berry

Coordinator for Academic Support Services, Learning Center

How long have you worked at UNT?

I started at UNT in 2014 as an undergraduate assistant in the Learning Center and the Italian department, but I became a full-time employee four years ago.

What department do you work in, your title, what does your position entail?

I'm the Coordinator for Academic Support Services in the Learning Center, where I primarily oversee our peer Academic Coaching program. Additionally, I develop content for a variety of academic success skills programs, like reading strategies, succeeding in online classes and public speaking.

What do you like about your position?

I love watching our student leaders grow as students, professionals and people. It's so much fun to see these exceptional students do everything they can to help others learn and grown and do so themselves along the way.

What is your favorite place to eat on or around campus?

My favorite place by campus is Viet Bites, but when I sta on campus, I'm all about Sauté and Avesta.

If someone new came in and wanted to know something that no one else at UNT would know what would you tell them?

There's no limit to the number of resources avaialble to the UNT Community - you just have to keep an eye out and ask your colleagues and peers when you need help. Someone will always know the right place to go!

Tell us something about you.

When I started my undergraduate degree at UNT, I wanted to be a professional wrestler. I always use that fact in ice breakers. A lot of people on campus know my ring name - all you have to do is ask!
