Drop in for a Smorgasbord
Thank you to UNT staff for visiting our final event to celebrate Staff Appreciation Month with Drop in for a Smorgasbord last Thursday. We had a great attendance and turnout at the Union and Discovery Park with very little remaining for giveaways! Thanks to Liz Berry and the Staff Senate planning committee with additional support from Lisa Martin.
Guided Painting and Embroidery 101 Sessions
Creative talent shines with Barbara Whitacre, Sr. Administrative Specialist in Housing & Residence Life, and her rendition of Starry Night on canvas. Taylor Torres from DSA Special Project, teaches the basics of hand embroidering through a beginner’s level session.
Sexual Assault Awareness Month
April is Sexual Assault Awareness month! UNT is dedicated to ending violence on campus, and creating places for advocacy, activism and healing. The UNT Survivor Advocacy team has partnered with several on-campus partners such as the Women & Gender Studies Department, We Mean Green Fund, Her Campus, the Multicultural Center, and the Division of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access (IDEA) and several community partners to host a month full of events. SAAM kicks off with a clothing drive throughout the month for Heels on the Move to Heal. All donations can be taken to Union Suite 411. Find more events and details at idea.unt.edu/voluntary-consent.

Neurodiversity: Celebrating Differences, Supporting Success
"Neurodiversity: Celebrating Differences, Supporting Success" is an Anti-Bias and Cultural Awareness program sponsored by the Neurodiversity Professional Network and the Division of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access. Join the virtual event on Wednesday, April 13, 2:30 to 4 p.m. through Bridge; the registration link is https://unt.bridgeapp.com/learner/training/3061a324/enroll. Drs. Lori Slater and Laurie Edmondson from Drury University will discuss the concept of neurodiversity, the neurodiversity movement and common supports for neurodivergent students and employees. Institutional Records Management Program’s Effectively Completing the Final Disposition Log is offering an interactive workshop (via Zoom) for UNT, UNT Dallas and UNT System. The workshop provides hands on experience, best practices and tips and trick for finding records in the Records Retention Schedule and completing the Final Disposition Log. The Introduction to Records Management and Retention training is a prerequisite to Effectively Completing the Final Disposition Log.
