VolUNTeer Fair

Learn about their organizations and ways you can volunteer to make a difference in your community! Event is open to all UNT students, faculty and staff! Foundational Leadership Academy

Organizational Development & Engagement (ODE) is seeking participants for the next cohort of our premier leadership program: The Foundational Leadership Academy (FLA). This intensive program seeks to enhance and improve individuals’ leadership skills as they advance in their career journey. Applicants must demonstrate strong leadership characteristics in the workplace indicating they would be a great performer in a leadership role (High Performer/High Potential). Participants do not need to be in a supervisory position as leaders are found in many different types of roles. This program is not intended for employees in Director or higher-level positions. Applicants must be full-time employees. This program will be conducted 100% virtually and includes members from all of our UNT institutions! Deadline to apply is September 1. New Supervisor Orientation

A targeted e-mail went out to potential participants for UNT’s next cohort of New Supervisor Orientation (NSO). This program is offered twice a year to team members that have been recently hired or promoted for the first time into a supervisory role at UNT and have been in the position for one year or less. The goal of NSO is to provide supervisors with resources and information that will help them be successful in their role. This program is intended for those who supervise full-time employees. Some sessions will be live via Zoom and other sessions will be pre-recorded webinars that you can watch on-demand. Deadline to apply is August 29.

Summer in Bloom

This summer we're spotlighting the floral beautification of campus maintained by the award-winning UNT Grounds Crew. This week we bring you the Black-eyed Susan which can be found near UNT Lot One, near Library Mall and Hurley Administration Building.

Payroll Training

In this training, users will learn general payroll information regarding salary savings, other payroll related costs, and useful ePar tips to assist with timely processing. Users will also be introduced to the Cognos Department Payroll Detail Report. At the end of this training, users will be able to: 1. Understand the 4 different ePar types and when to use each type, 2. Identify the differences between centrally and non-centrally funded chartstrings, 3. Understand the concept of Central Salary Savings and identify which chartstrings and positions create Central Salary Savings, 4. Be able to identify the differences in how Permanent savings and Temporary savings are created, 5. Be able to identify to which transactions Permanent Savings and Temporary savings can be applied, and 6. Be able to effectively run the Payroll Transaction Detail report to perform research.

Inter-departmental Transfer (IDT) Training

Currently for UNT Denton & Dallas only. In this interactive course, users will receive hands-on instruction for completing the new IDT form. Users will practice completing the IDT form from start to finish using their specific chartstrings. What's an IDT? An Interdepartmental Transaction (IDT) is a form which permits departments to reclassify revenue or expenses from one cost center to another. The purpose of the transaction can be to purchase goods or services, to reclass expenditures, and/or reallocate revenues to different chart strings.
