UNT Employee's Guide to Workplace Flexibility
In follow-up to the President’s message regarding themes emerging from January’s Employee Experience Survey, HR is hosting training* to aid you in understanding your options for flexible and remote work (FWA), as some of you may be able to work fully/partially remote or be able to meet expectations with creative schedules. This training is designed to be a one-stop resource to provide staff with information on options, items to consider when requesting a flexible work arrangement, professionalism, communications, and staying engaged and connected regardless of when or where you work! All employees across campus are encouraged to complete this training session.
You are invited to join us for a live-streamed training session on June 30, 2022, from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM by registering in UNT Bridge (log-in required): UNT Employee's Guide to Workplace Flexibility
This session will provide:
- A review of the flexible option types and how to evaluate what options might work for you based on your personal, role, and department operational or service needs.
- An overview on how to dialogue effectively with your supervisor on options, expectations, and standards.
- Discussion on the process and requirements under the Flexible Work Arrangements policy to begin or end a flexible working arrangement.
- Ways to cultivate trust and promote productivity via outcomes-based measurements for your role.
- Ideas to build personal engagement and connection to your team.
Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
The Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) is a federal program run by the U.S. Department of Education to forgive debt of certain borrowers who work for a government, public higher education or a non-profit entity.
Texas state government agencies and higher education institutions are PSLF-eligible employers—meaning a borrower who is a full-time state agency or higher education employee may be eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
