April Staff Senate Spotlight

Emily Gautraud

Administrative Services, Youth Protection Program Coordinator

How long have you worked at UNT?

I have worked for UNT for a year and a half.

What department do you work in and what does your position entail?

Administrative Services as a Youth Protection Program Coordinator. I provide administrative support to both the Director of the Youth Protection Program as well as the Director of Policy. My goal at the university is to provide outstanding customer support and service to campus through creating and implementing efficient and effective processes, and I hope to continue my professional career at UNT for many years to come.

What do you like about your position?

I like ensuring that youth are safe when UNT holds a program - it's important to me, and doing so while meeting and working with awesome people is the cherry on top.

What is your favorite place to eat on campus?

Thai Squared and LSA on the Denton Downtown Square are delicious if you are willing to make the trek!

If someone new came in and wanted to know something that no one else at UNT would know, what would you tell them?

I'd tell them to ask Brenda Cates in the UNT Budget Office - she has been with UNT for 20 years, is a wealth of knowledge and has seen it all (almost)! She is amazing, but that is no secret.

Tell us something about you.

I am proud musical-loving Texas native, proud UNT graduate (Class of 2011), and I previously worked in real estate in the Greater Cincinnati Area!
