The last of the Spring 2021 open-enrollment training sessions are available on the Open Enrollment Trainings website. The next Bias Awareness and Perceptions training session is on April 14 at 9 a.m.

Join the Multicultural Center on April 15 at 2 p.m. for a campus-wide Men of Color training in collaboration with Project Males. Representatives from the University of Texas, Texas A&M, and UNT will highlight post-secondary educational trends for boys, men, and masculine identities of color. Participants will better understand hurdles facing men of color on campus and strategies and resources to support them. Register for the Zoom presentation.

UNT Police Officers are teaching a Self-Defense Class on April 19 from 3 to 4 p.m. The class will cover defense skills as part of their Sexual Assault Awareness Month proactive education. The Zoom Meeting ID is 894 4475 1132 and you will need to log in with your UNT SSO credentials.

“My participation in the Unlikely Allies program was one of the single most powerful and transformative experiences I have had at UNT.” Registration for the Summer 2021 cohort of the Unlikely Allies in the Academy series is closing on April 23rd! This multi-module dialogue series creates opportunities for INTRAgroup dialogue (among those with the same racial and ethnic identities) and INTERgroup dialogue (between those of differing identities) with the goal of cultivating bonding and bridging capital among the UNT community. We Care We Count Giving Campaign

We Care We Count Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign in green letters. Bolded letters spell out We are UNTThe annual We Care We Count UNT faculty and staff giving campaign runs through May 7. Each gift to UNT earns you a chance to win prizes from area partners, and a gift of $10 or more qualifies you to receive a limited-edition WCWC face mask while supplies last. You can give online or download the payroll deduction form and email it to wecarewecount@unt.edu.

The fifth cohort of Inclusion, Equity, and Community Building will continue live on Zoom and will kick off in June 2021! This five module series will provide faculty, staff, and administrators an opportunity to comprehensively explore community building, cultural humility, bias awareness and identity development, microaggressions and inclusive language, anti-racism, privilege and allyship, and change leadership and apply these concepts to their policies, programs, practices, and people in their respective departments. This series aims to be flexible to the needs of its participants and current and pressing issues in our society and at UNT. Thus, each IECB provides a unique experience for participants. The series ends with action planning and guidance from Diversity & Inclusion to sustain inclusive excellence. Participants who complete all five modules of the series receive a certificate.

The deadline to register is May 21 and space is limited. When joining the live sessions, please use a computer or a tablet with camera capabilities. Contact Teresita@unt.edu for any accommodations.

All modules are from noon to 4 p.m. with the exception of Module 4, which will be from 1–5 p.m.

On March 29, the Multicultural Center in collaboration with the Black Professional Network and ÚNeTe, Latinx interest group, hosted the inaugural Women's History Month Gala. The Zoom event featured a "Women of Color in Higher Education" panel with panelists from ÚNeTe, Black Faculty Network, and Black Professional Network: Erika Woodruff, Latrice Moore, Dr. Chandra Carey, and Dr. Mariela Nuñez-Janes. Get Fit with UNT GroupX Classes

Join UNT Rec Sports as their instructors guide you through online GroupX (group exercises) workout classes in real time. You’ll first need to register for the group exercise classes that you want to attend through the Rec Sports portal or on the UNT Rec Sports mobile app in order to receive the link to join the class. And then after you work up a sweat, be sure to take the quick survey to give UNT Rec Sports your feedback on the new virtual classes! These classes are great for our many employees working remotely these days! Check out the full lineup of classes!
