Staff Senate Committee Spotlight

The last committee spotlight for 2019-2020 is on the Policy and Benefits Committee. The members of this committee work all year to identify and research human resource issues that are important and relevant to staff.

Foundational Leadership Academy

Organizational Development & Engagement (ODE) is seeking participants for the inaugural UNT World cohort of the Foundational Leadership Academy. The program seeks to enhance and improve individuals’ leadership skills as they advance in their career journey. The deadline to apply is Sept. 1.

2020 Staff Awards and Recognition Event Recording

View the recording of the 2020 Staff Awards and Recognition event: Going the Distance while Socially Distant, presented by DATCU on Aug. 11. The event included the annual Staff Appreciation awards presentation and incorporated elements from the bi-annual Staff Sack Lunches, including door prizes and a Q&A with President Smatresk.

A new COVID Dashboard, which will be updated weekly, will show the number of active COVID-19 cases of students and employees with direct and indirect campus impact.

Discovery Park COVID-19 Testing

Denton County Public Health (DCPH) is providing free drive-thru COVID-19 testing at UNT Discovery Park on Fridays. Preregistration is required and appointments are available starting at 8 a.m. Eligible community members are those who have had symptoms of COVID-19 within the past seven days, essential employees, individuals 60 years and older, as well as individuals who have had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19.

All community members must call to pre-register for testing at 940-349-2585.
