The Staff Senate January meeting is cancelled. We will continue our monthly meetings in February. Please see below for information on our upcoming meeting.
While I Breathe, I Hope screening
We wanted to let you know about a 2020 Equity & Diversity Conference related opportunity coming up at the end of the month. In preparation for welcoming the Division of Institutional Equity and Diversity’s keynote speaker Bakari Sellers, we will be screening the documentary: While I Breathe, I Hope.
Bakari Sellers became the youngest state attorney at 23 years old, working in the lower house of the South Carolina State Legislature. He left to run for political office, and the documentary While I Breathe, I Hope, which is South Carolina’s state motto, follows Bakari Sellers on his bid for Lieutenant Governor. The screening is presented by Diversity & Inclusion and two student organizations, Mixed Greens and Professional Women’s Council.
Screening will be held January 30, 2020, 6-8 pm, Union Senate Room. Free and open to all students and UNT employees. Light refreshments will be provided.
See attached flyer.
