The Annual Pink Game

Each year more than 200,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in the United States for both men and women, although it is more common in women.

Our Women's Basketball Team would like to recognize breast cancer warriors, survivors, and angels at the special Annual "Pink Game".  For those employed in UNT World, come and let us celebrate you! Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 6:30 p.m.

There will be food, door prizes, and or course you will be our guest for the game and help cheer on the Mean Green as they take on Florida Atlantic!

Please register if you would like to participate, as space is limited.

Black Mental Health Week

The Counseling and Testing Services Program for Counseling Diverse Students invites you to the inaugural Black Mental Health Week starting January 24th and concluding January 27th! In collaboration with IDEA, Student Affairs, and Recreational Sports, the week will include events like the Black Mental Health Fair with free BBQ and trap yoga. Learn more at https://idea.unt.edu/event/black-mental-health-week.

Employee Experience Survey

In order to determine ways to better support our faculty and staff, we invite you to take the UNT Employee Experience Survey. The survey will build upon recent Gallup results from the fall, and will help each division VP develop unit-appropriate plans. In addition, the VPs will also initiate focus groups in their divisions to hear first-hand from staff, including how we can maintain required staffing but provide schedule flexibility that has become so common outside of higher education.

Winter Weather Preparedness

UNT Staff Senate At Home Academy presents UNT Emergency Preparedness on Jan. 26 at 3:00 p.m. Guest speaker Julie Elliott will provide weather tips that will help you prepare and promote safety this season. Join via Zoom at https://unt.zoom.us/j/83554616229.

UNT Supervisor Training

HR is hosting training to aid supervisors in assessing flexibility options that may be feasible for your unit. We have seen flexible work rise in terms of demand from both current and prospective employees and it is crucial that we evaluate flexibility in order to not only retain valued employees but also to be competitive in your recruitment efforts.

You are invited to join us for a live training session on Thursday, January 27 from 2:30-3:30pm by registering Flexible Work - UNT Supervisor Training (2022). This session will provide:
• Strategies for assessing department operational needs/position responsibilities for flexible work options
• Strategies for assessing meeting-free work time options
• Resource information procedures and requirements under the Flexible Work Arrangement policy

The training will be recorded and uploaded to Bridge for future reference following the live session.
