Rec Center memberships and guest passes are available for purchase.  Any current member can also sponsor Plus One & Dependent Memberships (each $22.00/month) and can bring up to two children, ages 15 and under, into the facility at no additional cost.  Unlimited Semester Group Exercise and Climbing Wall passes are available for members to purchase for only $25.00.  A Try Before You Buy: 5 Day Free Trial is available for all non-student, new or returning memberships. Campus Safety and Security Seminar Oct. 29 

The Dean of Students, Emergency Management & Safety Services, and UNT Police Department will again hold their Campus Safety and Security Seminar via Zoom from 1 to 2:30 pm on Oct. 29 (Friday). The seminar offers refresher information on topics such as severe weather preparation and response, active threat/active shooter response, the campus health and safety resources on campus and more. This will be an interactive session so please bring your questions regarding campus safety and security! The team will also have additional take-away resources provided during the session. Updated Diversity & Inclusion Training Dates

Diversity & Inclusion has added two more dates for one of their open enrollment trainings: Interrupting Microaggressions. The most recent edition to their training catalog, Interrupting Microaggressions gives the opportunity to learn how to call ourselves in when we use biased language. 2021 UNT Engagement Results Overview

This is a summary of the final results from the 2021 Gallup Survey for UNT. Participants will hear an overview of comparative data from FY 20 to FY21 scores as well as against the higher education benchmark. This is an opportunity to see where our institution is in relation to the goal of becoming a best place to work. Intended Audience:  This session is open to all faculty and staff (with a UNT focus).

IECB Spring 2022 Cohort Registration

Registration for the next cohort of the Inclusion, Equity, and Community Building (IECB) series is now open! The seventh cohort of the five module IECB series will kick off in February 2022 and will provide faculty, staff, and administrators an opportunity to comprehensively explore community building, cultural humility, anti-racism, and more. Participants will learn how to apply these concepts to their policies, programs, practices, and people in their respective departments. Staff Appreciation Awards

Staff Appreciation Award nominations are now open! Nominate your outstanding colleagues and employees for an award so the whole UNT community can learn about their tremendous work over the past year. There are eight distinct awards available to recognize staff excellence in spirit, inclusion, customer service, and several other attributes of our amazing staff. Learn more about the nomination process and specific criteria for each award—available in Spanish and English—at president.unt.edu/staff-appreciation-awards. The nomination window closes November 1, 2021.

UNT merit guidelines now online

Supervisor guidelines for staff merit can be found online here. Supervisors should also receive a note from Human Resources with the deadlines for merit submission since this must be done in October in order to meet the November 1 effective date. Staff will see merit increases in their December paycheck.

UNT We Mean Green Fund

The UNT We Mean Green Fund welcomes students and employees to submit a sustainability project proposal by the October 25, 2021 deadline for a chance to receive project funding and lead a campus sustainability initiative they are passionate about bringing to UNT! Up to $100,000 total will be granted to various new projects that will launch next semester! Previous examples of student-led We Mean Green Fund projects include the UNT Community Garden, Pollinative Prairie, and Scrappy’s Storm Drain Murals. Project eligibility criteria and submission details can be found at the websites below. For questions, email WeMeanGreenFund@unt.edu.
