Staff Appreciation Awards
Staff Appreciation Award nominations are now open! Nominate your outstanding colleagues and employees for an award so the whole UNT community can learn about their tremendous work over the past year. There are eight distinct awards available to recognize staff excellence in spirit, inclusion, customer service, and several other attributes of our amazing staff. CLASS Scholar Series featuring Dr. Aja Martinez
On November 4, 2021, CLASS will host its inaugural In-CLASS Scholar Series: “Why Critical Race Theory Matters” featuring Dr. Aja Martinez, Assistant Professor with the Department of English. Dr. Martinez conducts research on and teaches a range of courses concerning rhetorics of race and ethnicity, including the rhetorics of race within both Western and non-Euro-Western contexts, and beginning, professional and advanced writing courses. She recently participated as a panelist with Carnegie Mellon University Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Event Series: “Critical Race Theory Within & Beyond the University”. Eagle Dreamers Resource Center Opening
Join the Multicultural Center in celebrating the opening of the Eagle Dreamers Resource Center on Thursday, November 4th! The resource center will expand resources, programming, collaboration, safe spaces, and training for students who need help in all aspects of DACA and undocumented status.

This is a summary of the final results from the 2021 Gallup Survey for UNT. IECB Spring 2022 Cohort Registration
Registration for the next cohort of the Inclusion, Equity, and Community Building (IECB) series is now open! The seventh cohort of the five module IECB series will kick off in February 2022 and will provide faculty, staff, and administrators an opportunity to comprehensively explore community building, cultural humility, anti-racism, and more. Participants will learn how to apply these concepts to their policies, programs, practices, and people in their respective departments. UNT merit guidelines now online
Supervisor guidelines for staff merit can be found online here. Supervisors should also receive a note from Human Resources with the deadlines for merit submission since this must be done in October in order to meet the November 1 effective date. Staff will see merit increases in their December paycheck.
