Utilizing the Gallup Portal

Reminder this Friday, Oct. 15 from 12-1pm, this 1-hour informational session will cover tips on how to access and analyze your results from the Q12 Gallup survey inside the Gallup Access Portal.
 
Objectives:

  • Learn how to navigate the Gallup Access Portal Menu
  • Identify where to find resources
  • Learn how to find and analyze your department’s results
  • Explore ways to start an Action Plan based on your team’s report

Staff Success Library

The Staff Senate is excited to announce our newest program, the Staff Success Library! Beginning Monday, October 18th, staff members can now check-out books on a wide variety of professional and personal growth topics curated by the Staff Senators so you have more opportunities to learn on your timeline. The best part? We bring the books to you so you can save time in your busy day! Learn what other staff members have to say about these titles, submit a check-out form, and even request additional titles for the library at staffsenate.unt.edu/library

Inclusion, Equity, and Community Building Series

Registration for the next cohort of the Inclusion, Equity, and Community Building (IECB) series is now open! The seventh cohort of the five module IECB series will kick off in February 2022 and will provide faculty, staff, and administrators an opportunity to comprehensively explore community building, cultural humility, anti-racism, and more. Participants will learn how to apply these concepts to their policies, programs, practices, and people in their respective departments. Clothing Drive

Survivor Advocate will be accepting clothing donations through the end of October via their clothing donation box outside of Union 411. All clothing items are accepted. Clothing will be donated to Heels on the move to Heal, a non-profit organization that brings awareness and assists families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. The clothing will then be given to families and individuals who have been affected by sexual or relational violence and to shelters. Questions can be directed to survivoradvocate@unt.edu

Staff Appreciation Awards

Staff Appreciation Award nominations are now open! Nominate your outstanding colleagues and employees for an award so the whole UNT community can learn about their tremendous work over the past year. There are eight distinct awards available to recognize staff excellence in spirit, inclusion, customer service, and several other attributes of our amazing staff. Learn more about the nomination process and specific criteria for each award—available in Spanish and English—at president.unt.edu/staff-appreciation-awards. The nomination window closes November 1, 2021.

UNT merit guidelines now online

Supervisor guidelines for staff merit can be found online here. Supervisors should also receive a note from Human Resources with the deadlines for merit submission since this must be done in October in order to meet the November 1 effective date. Staff will see merit increases in their December paycheck.

UNT Pharmacy now offering limited delivery service

The UNT Pharmacy is excited to expand the services available to UNT faculty and staff with free delivery to on-campus offices. Faculty and staff can send fill prescriptions at the UNT Pharmacy, and then request a delivery by calling the pharmacy staff at (940) 565-2790. Employees can pre-pay for their prescription or pay by credit card at the time of delivery. Delivery is currently limited to the Denton campus and Athletic Complex at this time. Make a Difference Day

Make a Difference Day is our recognized day of service celebrated by the UNT community each Fall. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and student organizations are all welcome to participate. In the Center for Leadership and Service we strive to inspire students to make a difference, not just one day, but every day!

UNT We Mean Green Fund

The UNT We Mean Green Fund welcomes students and employees to submit a sustainability project proposal by the October 25, 2021 deadline for a chance to receive project funding and lead a campus sustainability initiative they are passionate about bringing to UNT! Up to $100,000 total will be granted to various new projects that will launch next semester! Previous examples of student-led We Mean Green Fund projects include the UNT Community Garden, Pollinative Prairie, and Scrappy’s Storm Drain Murals.
