Learn to protect yourself from scams

During the fall semester, the UNT Police Department gets more reports of scams as the campus community returns. Some of these scams specifically prey on students and others through social media or email – for example, fake job offers or someone who is pretending to be a coworker or friend asking for money or gift cards. UNT Police Community Relations Ofc. David Causey will present a program about popular scams and how to protect yourself from 9-10 am Sept. 16 at Discovery Park Room K110. Accommodations requests or requests to have the presentation on the main campus can be sent to David.Causey@unt.edu
