  • On Tuesday, March 31, Governor Greg Abbott issued a new Executive Order (GA-14) relating to statewide continuity of essential services and activities during the COVID-19 disaster. The new statewide order goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, April 2, and extends through Thursday, April 30, 2020. Budget Office Training

The University Budget Office continues to hold important training sessions remotely. If you need training on payroll, budget basics, Cognos reports or more you can find these sessions on their Training Calendar siteAll March and April trainings will be offered via Zoom in lieu of in-person trainings.

Budget officers and others who normally attend the First Friday meetings with the Budget Office will find a pre-recorded video posted to the First Fridays website this Friday, April 3.

Telecommuting and Parenting

Trying to telecommute and care for children can be one of the hardest combination of tasks and requires a significant balancing act. Under normal circumstances telecommuting and childcare would not merge together, but in the current health crisis many of you are juggling both of these important tasks.

Thanks to Shaureece Park, Director of Library Admin Services, for these helpful tips!

Cooking Tips

Now that most of us are spending a lot of time at home, those new to cooking may want some guidance. Staff Senators Suzan Cruz, Charlotte Cooke, and Katie McCoy have found some easy-to-use YouTube videos on cooking that can help. These videos can also be useful for those of us that would like to change our usual at-home menu. Bon appetite!
