What is the mission and purpose of your committee?
Our committee provides event marketing support with HR to promote campus-wide staff events via social media and the website. We also manage the Staff Success website to provide resource materials and benefits for staff, such as staff development and training.

Highlight the most impactful project your committee has completed this year.
Streamlining ADA compliance with the Staff Senate website, as well as distribution of the weekly newsletter; developing outreach with stakeholders who contribute staff-related announcements.

What additional project, goals, or priorities does your committee have on the agenda for the rest of the academic year?
1.) Coordinating a social media campaign to promote Staff Senate elections this summer to encourage participation across campus.
2.) Update the Staff Senate website for relevant and important information that is reflective of constituent interest.

What is the most rewarding part of serving on the committee?
Collaborating with fellow colleagues in different divisions to achieve cohesive messaging. In addition, communicating important resources, news, and training opportunities to UNT staff.

Do you have any upcoming events the UNT community should be aware of?
Staff Appreciation Month begins this March and includes learning sessions, activities, in-person events, snacks & sweets, and swag giveaways. Learn more by visiting our website.
