Telecommute Agreements

Beginning Sept. 1, the process for telecommuting will adhere to the UNT policy for telecommuting, Policy 05.022 Working Hours and Flexible Arrangements, which requires staff to have a documented Flexible Work Arrangement Form on file with Human Resources that has been thoroughly completed and approved. If you have questions, you can contact UNT HR at 940-565-2281

Labor Day

The university will be closed on Sept. 7 so the entire campus community can enjoy this holiday at the beginning of the fall semester.

Classroom Support Services in the Division of Digital Strategy and Innovation has some helpful tips for working more efficiently in Zoom. The information ranges from how to activate your UNT Zoom account to how to configure breakout rooms and optimize audio for music and singing. You'll also find information about privacy concerns and security features, including how to lock meetings and require authentication.

 

Faculty & Staff Appreciation Game

North Texas football's 2020 season opener on Sept. 5, againFootball player Dion Novilst Southland Conference foe Houston Baptist is slated for a 6:30 p.m. CT kickoff from Apogee Stadium and will be broadcast live on ESPN3. 

This Saturday is also our annual Faculty and Staff Appreciation Game. Faculty and Staff can claim two free football tickets. Gameday policies have been updated for this season.

 

2021 Equity and Diversity Conference

The 2021 Equity and Diversity Conference will be held virtually on Feb. 23. This year's keynote speaker is Jeff Chang, who has written extensively on the intersection of race, art and civil rights, and the socio-political forces that guided the hip-hop generation. More information on Chang can be found on the new conference website

COVID Update 

For UNT faculty and staff who still need to complete the two modules of required COVID-19 Safety Training available on UNT Bridge, please do so as soon as possible. About 80 percent of faculty and staff have completed the training, which was due at the end of July. Email asktraining@unt.edu if you need UNT Bridge technical support. The deadline has been extended to Sept. 8. The training includes information about face covering requirements, social distancing, self-monitoring and more.Picture of white eagle on green background

Call 844-366-5892 for the COVID Hotline. The hotline will help community members report and understand COVID-19 symptoms, testing information and/or results, and receive guidance on actions they may need to take following potential exposure. You can also send an email to COVID@unt.edu.

Meetings are open to all UNT staff members. The next meeting will be held via Zoom on Sept. 8, 2020, at 3 p.m.

Register in advance for this meeting. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
